Bikembergs Clothes There's no Henry Higgins refinement about Eliza Cummings. The 19- year-old model of the moment, who has already been on the covers of i-D, Dazed & Confused and Italian Vogue, wanders around London in boys' clothes, spends her days offplaying football in Battersea Park, prefers sleeping in tents to smart hotels and, should she grow tired of pouting for the camera, wants to be the next Gordon Ramsay, bossing her way around a sweaty, testosterone-soaked kitchen.

'I'm quite Gothic; I dress a bit like Beetlejuice,' she says in strong, south-ofthe-river Cockney. At 14, she dropped out of school after being bullied: 'I got my head cut open and stuff, so I said to myself, "No, I don't need this," and I left.' While her contemporaries were studying for their GCSEs, she lugged bricks on a building site for her stepfather, before training to be a hairdresser at Toni & Guy. 'It was really bitchy and I said to myself, "No, I'm not doing that either." ' At the time, her mother was studying photography at the London College of Fashion and showed her tutor Eliza's photo. 'He said: "Take her to an agency," and she dragged me to Select. I'd already been scouted a

Are successful entrepreneurs made not born? Fisher and Koch report findings from a recent study of 234 CEOs, funded by the Kauffman Foundation, Michele Watch which suggests that a substantial proportion of entrepreneurial behavior is genetically determined--that entrepreneurs are usually born, not made. They consider various aspects of the characteristics of entrepreneurs--their roles as risk-takers and change agents, internationalists and novelty seekers; entrepreneurial management and leadership style; relationships with their boards--and then discuss how the information might be used by organizations, corporations, and individuals to get the right people into jobs requiring an entrepreneurial bent. Fisher is the author of numerous journal articles and author or editor of ten books, including The Power of the Presidency which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize; Koch (Old Dominion U.) has published numerous articles and nine books.

CHESAPEAKE

More than 1,000 gallons of oil has been removed from the Southern Branch of the Elizabeth River since a spill was reported to the Coast Guard on Tuesday.

A state agency discovered the spill while conducting an inspection of the S.E.A. Solutions Corp. ship-dismantling facility, the Coast Guard said Thursday.

The facility has previously been fined for dismantling ships without a state permit and was the site of two barge fires this summer.

S.E.A. Solutions was cutting up a container ship for the steel and pumping oil toward the stern when oil leaked from the remaining piece of the ship into the cove at the facility.

The source of the leak has been located and secured, the Coast Guard said.

An undetermined amount of oily waste and debris remains aboard the vessel.

The entire cove is closed off with containment and absorbent booms.

The discharge has been contained at the facility and has not affected vessel traffic, the Coast Guard said.

A cleanup company, Coastal Services, is using vacuum trucks to recover the oil.

In October 2008, S.E.A. Solutions agreed to pay a $10,400 civil charge after being cited by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality for operating a ship-dismantling facility without a permit.

Twice this Embroidered patches summer, in June and July, Chesapeake firefighters were called to the facility in the 5400 block of Bainbridge Blvd. to fight barge fires.
