MORE than 1,500 visitors enjoyed the world of steam at an open weekend.

The event was staged by the Welland Valley Vintage Traction Club on Saturday and Sunday at its depot in Glebe Road, Little Bowden. nike dunk high Club secretary Tony Coleman said: "It was a very well-attended event and it gives us the opportunity each year to let the public know what we do here."
He said there was a static exhibition of 18 vintage tractors, an historic Sentinel lorry and steamrollers.
He said there was not enough room to allow the machines to move.
levi's jeansHe added: "We had a sevenand-a-quarter-inch-gauge steam engine giving youngsters a ride along a small length of track, which proved popular.
"We estimate about 1,500 people visited us on both days."
The club also provided refreshments .
