On Friday night, he is creating a pyrotechnic dream with a garden of flaming flowers and trees as Central Park in Barry is transformed into Le Jardin Flambee.

Sammy's career working with fire and fireworks began in a very rock and roll way when he was asked to help out with a display at the end of the Rolling Stones European tour in 1982 to promote their album Tattoo You.
"I was asked by friends to help deliver the fireworks at the end of the concerts," explains the former carpenter.
"It football jerseys was a three-minute show and that was it for me, I was hooked and knew that I wanted to work on fireworks displays.
"That was 28 years ago and it has been a fantastic career for me and taken me all over the world.
"I've been to China five times, provided a firework display on the top of the tallest building in the world at the time in Shanghai, worked with FIFA and provided displays from moving trains and even underneath a helicopter.
"But despite doing all of this, I couldn't tell you exactly what fascinates people so much about fire.
"I just couldn't put my finger on it, I just know that it does hold a real fascination."
The Barry show has involved lots of planning and will take a day to create.
"It is certainly going to keep visitors warm," laughs Sammy, who works with the pyrotechnic outdoor events company Walk the Plank.
"And I am not worried about rain, it won't put the flames out.
"I'd be more worried about the wind, but it is going to be a spectacular sight and I really hope people enjoy it."
