Keddle wonder strike is great

A WONDER strike by former Merthyr Tydfil defender Paul Keddle earned Newtown the points at Latham Park and elevated them to the heady heights of second spot.

"It was a hard-earned win. We had to defend well today against a very good Prestatyn side, so I'm pleased with the outcome," he said.

"Whichever XI I have put on the field this season, the lads I've picked have fronted-up well and I can't ask for more than that.

"Team spirit is good and I'm generally happy that this squad can keep Newtown in the Welsh Premier, which is the chairman's main priority for this campaign."
