THE most positive aspects of Tranmere's start to the new season remain a mystery to the majority of supporters who do not travel further than Prenton Park to watch their football. However much encouragement fans might take from reports and comments about the performances at Walsall and Huddersfield over the last fortnight, the evidence of their own eyes painted a disappointing picture on Saturday.
Rovers, narrowly beaten by a more efficient Oldham Athletic team on the opening day of the League One campaign, were second best by a more emphatic margin this time.

When Tranmere attempted to step on to the offensive, their passing and movement lacked penetration to trouble the Cherries' defence.
It would be easy to rush to the judgement that the 4-3-3 system, while suited to the cagey, counter attacking game Tranmere play away from home, is less effective when they attempt to take the initiative at Prenton christian louboutin shoes Park.
